About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated R&D Tax Manager to join our dynamic tax advisory team. The successful candidate will manage Research and Development (R&D) tax credit claims, provide strategic advice to clients, and ensure compliance with current tax legislation. This role offers a blend of technical tax expertise, client interaction, and project management.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a portfolio of clients across various industries, delivering high-quality R&D tax credit claims.
Lead client meetings to identify eligible R&D activities and expenditures.
Prepare and review technical reports and supporting documentation for R&D claims.
Provide strategic tax advice related to R&D incentives, ensuring compliance with HMRC or relevant tax authorities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, and technical specialists, to optimise claim accuracy.
Keep up to date with changes in R&D tax legislation and communicate updates to clients and internal teams.
Mentor and develop junior team members, providing technical guidance and support.
Assist in business development activities, including client proposals and presentations.
Qualifications and Experience:
ACA, ACCA, CTA, or equivalent qualification preferred.
Proven experience in R&D tax credits, preferably within a public accounting firm or tax consultancy.
Strong understanding of R&D tax legislation and related guidance.
Technical background in science, engineering, or technology is advantageous but not essential.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical information into clear, concise language.
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively.
