We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in a care home or home care setting, ensuring their comfort and well-being. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to implement care plans and assist with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality care.
Duties
1. Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
2. Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each patient's needs.
3. Monitor and record patients' health status and report any changes to the healthcare team.
4. Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, ensuring hygiene standards are met.
5. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to provide updates on patient progress.
6. Drive patients to appointments or social activities as required.
7. Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills.
Qualifications
1. Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential.
2. Strong IT skills for maintaining patient records and documentation.
3. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
4. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being able to work independently.
5. A caring attitude with a genuine desire to help others.
6. Valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting patients.
