Job Purpose
The successful candidate will:
1. Accurate maintenance of technical information from both external and internal sources to enable consistent and accurate response to customer requests in a timely way.
2. Manage the completion of questionnaires, technical data sheets, customers’ own specifications/information sheets.
3. Create policy statements regarding LH position on products and standards compliance etc.
4. Maintenance of Kosher and Halal certification, information and records, consulting with religious certifying bodies over matters where relevant, including audits and supervisions.
5. Provide support in ensuring product compliance with global regulation.
6. Assist in maintaining contact with external sources of information to keep LH current on regulatory matters.
7. Review regulation changes, where relevant, understand the implications to business and provide constructive plans to manage changes.
8. Provide guidance or advice on BOP & FOP (back/front of pack) labelling where required.
Essential criteria for this position are:
1. Graduate in Food Science and Nutrition or equivalent
2. High proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Word and Excel) and Adobe
3. Good organisational skills
4. Ability to work independently and maintain accurate records
5. Attention to detail
6. Ability to communicate to all levels of the business and customers.
7. Experience of working in a technical department, ideally from food/flavour industry environment (desirable)
