We are looking for a multi skilled Joiner who is experienced in glazing to join our Repairs team. In this role, you will handle a variety of repair, maintenance, and installation tasks, both indoors and outdoors. Your work will support our commitment to a right-first-time approach, while adhering to our health and safety, customer, and quality standards.
Your main duties would include:
The role will be predominantly glazing, but will include installing kitchens, windows, doors, skirting boards, cladding, fascia’s and soffits, along with staircase repairs, guttering and most other aspects of joinery
Working within empty, void, and occupied homes, completing repairs and maintenance to meet the demands of the business
Carrying out minor building multi-skill works, including brickwork replacement, plastering, small tiling jobs, plumbing, guttering, and glazing
Ensuring the service you deliver aligns with our planned operating standards
Ensuring the service, you provide to our customers aligns with our customer and quality standards
Responding to all work-related issues via our company’s communication systems, which may include PDA or IT systems
Recording work activities carried out, including assessing and recording the materials used
Being responsible for your own compliance to health and safety legislation and for the safety of any recipients of the service
Assisting in the maintenance and security of plant machinery and vehicles as and when required.
The above is not an exhaustive list of duties required. You will be required to undertake any other reasonable duties in line with the purpose and grading of the role. As part of this role, you may need to mentor an apprentice, volunteer or work experience placement.
In order to be successful in these roles, you:
Will have in-depth knowledge of both relevant legislation and repairs and maintenance of buildings in relation to your trade
Will need a NVQ Level 2 qualification or equivalent in joinery
Will have proven experience in your relevant trade
Must have a full UK driving license (if you have a disability, we will explore reasonable adjustments with you).
As part of this role, you may be eligible for allowances including an enhanced tool allowance, multiskilling allowance and callout payments, which will be discussed if you are invited to an interview.
