About Us:
Countrystyle is a dynamic, privately owned resource management and waste recycling business, we are proud to operate the largest independent fleet of modern waste management vehicles in Kent, London and the Southeast. We are looking for a HGV Fitter to join our team of HGV Fitters at our workshop in Ridham, Sittingbourne.
About the role:
To achieve and persistently maintain high standards of workmanship and competence in performing tasks associated with preventative maintenance checks and general maintenance, whilst also maintaining high standards of internal and external communications and relationships.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Carry out inspections, diagnosing any faults and defects on fleet vehicles, trailers, related equipment and components. This includes testing, dismantling, overhauling, repairing, and re-assembling as required.
Participate in supporting operatives and employees in preventative maintenance checks, services and general maintenance/repairs of fleet vehicles, trailers, related equipment and components.
Perform road tests.
Perform emergency call out repairs as required.
Competently operate electronic testing equipment and other hand tools.
Maintain repair and service records on each vehicle.
Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and in a timely manner, as required, and in line with Countrystyle's policies and procedures.
Ensure that all work done by the team is carried in line with the safe systems of work and that appropriate PPE and safety equipment is used at all times.
Comply with all Health, Safety, HR and Environmental policies and procedures.

Experience working in a Workshop environment.
Experience working in a similar role with HGVs.
Desirable
Experience in the Waste Industry.
Experience working with DAF trucks.
Qualifications:
HGV Class 1 Driving Licence/CPC
NVQ Level 2 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
Competencies:
