This role entails working across Gloucester and Cheltenham to cover Wotton lawn hospital, laurel house and Honeybourne units. It is a very dynamic and important role which encourages solution finding and integrated multidisciplinary working to support the journey of working age adults through admission and beyond discharge.
Hours per week: FULL TIME - 37.5 hrs per week - part-time and flexible working will be considered.
Main duties of the job
* Act as an inpatient social worker for working age acute/recovery inpatients admitted to Psychiatric hospitals across Gloucestershire.
* Work collaboratively with other professions and care sectors.
* Ensure clear communication is maintained and work efficiently to provide care.
* Knowledge of the Care Act, Mental Health Act, and Mental Capacity Act are essential to ensure that processes and procedures are followed and safe and best outcomes are measured.
* Role model and/or tutor juniors/students.

Job responsibilities
The Discharge Hub is a multidisciplinary team, consisting of Inpatient Social Workers, OTs, Support Workers, Peer Support Workers, and Nurses. It is also part of the wider Patient Flow team, providing excellent working links with our colleagues supporting the physical health needs of the population of Gloucestershire.

Salary: £35,392 to £42,618 a year, per annum pro rata.
