In the early stages, you’ll contribute to detailed planning, reviewing contractor-produced documentation to ensure commissioning processes are well-structured and aligned with technical and safety requirements. As commissioning moves into execution, you’ll take ownership of a programme of tests, ensuring systems are installed and functioning as designed. This will include hands-on site testing, problem-solving, and working collaboratively with contractors to maintain high safety and quality standards. You’ll analyse commissioning results, provide detailed reports, and justify the readiness of HPC systems for operation. Beyond testing, you’ll also play a key role in ensuring a smooth handover of commissioned systems. This includes preparing documentation, ensuring all compliance requirements are met, and participating in reviews with internal teams and external partners. Your work will directly impact the safe and efficient operation of the plant, requiring a strong focus on technical excellence, collaboration, and adherence to regulatory standards. Who you are We’re looking for engineers with a strong technical foundation in mechanical and process systems, problem-solving skills, and a drive to deliver results in a safety- and quality-focused environment. Whether you’re leading site tests, collaborating with contractors, or ensuring regulatory compliance, your expertise will help shape the commissioning process and support the safe, efficient operation of HPC.
