THRiVE is a collaboration of local parents, schools, churches, community groups, and statutory and voluntary organisations working together to help children and young people thrive. The four key priorities for THRiVE are raising aspiration, improving attainment, and supporting well-being through collaboration.
THRiVE uses the Collective Impact Framework to inform the way the collaboration works. One of the key conditions of collective impact is the need for backbone support to the collaboration.
Barnardo's acts in this role for THRiVE and this Coordinator post is a significant support for the effectiveness of the collaboration.
We are looking to recruit a dynamic, strategic individual to coordinate the THRiVE collaboration. This person will be committed to the vision of children and young people thriving and be energetic in inspiring and enabling community change. You will be responsible for advancing the shared vision and aligned activities, securing investment and resources, supporting effective governance, consolidating shared measurement of impact, and sharing learning from THRiVE.
Essential Criteria
1. Relevant qualification to degree level or equivalent in Youth and Community Work, Community Development, Teaching, Social Work, Early Childhood.
2. Demonstrable experience of using community development approaches to work with children, young people, and/or families in community settings.
3. Demonstrable experience of working with networks of agencies in the children and families sector.
4. Evidence of collaborative leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate, lead, inspire, and facilitate change.
The post is full-time until Mar 25 and will continue until 31st Aug 2026, subject to funding. Secondments will be considered to fill this post.
