COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER
Salary range £33,482 - £39,355 per annum (spine points 37-43 on the University’s pay spine)
An exciting opportunity to join Sidney Sussex College as the Communications Manager responsible for creating, implementing, and leading on all aspects of communications in the College, including both internal and external communications.
The role calls for an experienced, innovative, and creative communications professional with a high degree of planning, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise and manage a demanding workload to tight deadlines. The successful candidate is likely to hold a degree or equivalent, have experience of designing and producing both physical and digital communications, understand and work with web design, and be able to work pro-actively and independently in a varied, demanding, and rewarding working environment.
The post-holder will work closely with the College Officers, other Fellows of the College, Heads of Departments, the Office of Inter-Collegiate Services (OIS), and the University Office of External Affairs & Communications (OEAC).
This permanent role is for 37.5 hours per week on a full-time basis. The salary is based on the University single salary spine between points 37 and 43. This currently equates to £33,482 to £39,355 per annum. Salary progression through the range is discretionary. Benefits include a defined benefit pension scheme provided by the Universities Superannuation Scheme (USS), which is contributory; an annual leave entitlement of 25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays; free College meals when on duty; rewards for long service; and subsidised membership of the College gym facilities.
