We are recruiting to the post of Diabetes Specialist Nurse
NHS Lothian is excited to be recruiting to a Diabetes Specialist Nurse at RIE. Please note: As this post is part-time the salary will be pro-rata.

Role: To undertake the role of the specialist nurse, utilising specialist clinical knowledge to inform decision making and clinical judgment. To provide specialist advice to the multidisciplinary team regarding the management of patient conditions through assessment, treatment and review planning in partnership with the patient/carer.
Provide specialist advice to healthcare professionals, other agencies, carers, clients and relatives.
Support the development of the service to improve practice and work collaboratively across healthcare boundaries, implementing and evaluating evidence-based standards, guidelines and policies.
This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult), an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
