Finance Officer Key Financial Operations & Management A dynamic opportunity has arisen for a finance professional to oversee essential financial functions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in managing financial records. The role involves handling day-to-day financial transactions, overseeing the purchase ledger, and maintaining the general ledger, including fixed assets. The successful candidate will support financial reporting, prepare reconciliations, and manage cash flow forecasting while ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations. Key Responsibilities: Oversee cash book processing, including payments and bank reconciliations. Manage supplier payments, purchase ledger operations, and reconciliations. Maintain the general ledger and oversee fixed asset management. Assist with financial reporting, including monthly balance sheet reconciliations. Prepare cash flow forecasts and ensure efficient cash management. Supervise month-end procedures and oversee ledger closures. Provide leadership and training to finance staff, ensuring team development. Conduct financial analysis and provide reports as required. Support internal training initiatives for finance and non-finance staff. Requirements & Qualifications: Essential: A minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade C or above, including English and Mathematics. At least two years of experience in a finance-related role. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel or other financial spreadsheet tools. Key Skills: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to manage deadlines and work independently. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. A collaborative team player with a proactive approach to problem-solving. Experience in working with internal and external stakeholders at various levels. Desirable Skills & Experience: Knowledge of financial software such as Integra or similar accounting packages. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Access, and Outlook. Experience handling foreign currency transactions.
