Bus Engineer
Shorterm Group are currently representing a client who is looking for a Bus Engineer to join their busy depots on a full-time employed basis.
This role will be working specifically on engine overhauls, rebuilds, and repairs.
As a Bus Engineer, the role will entail:
1. Mechanical and electrical repair, preventative maintenance, and modification of vehicles.
2. Undertaking diagnostic analysis where appropriate.
3. Working as part of a team to maintain and build employee relations to ensure the workshop operation achieves its objectives.
4. Correctly fault diagnosing to ensure parts are fitted correctly.
5. Dealing professionally and proficiently with all enquiries and completing job cards and service sheets in a timely manner.
6. Responsibility for the safety of the working environment and all colleagues/persons within it.
The Bus Engineer will have:
1. A safety conscious and committed to a right first-time ethos.
2. Enthusiasm, with the ability to work on your own initiative, remaining focused and consistent, and a 'can do' attitude.
3. Good teamwork ethic, with the ability to get on with colleagues.
4. Commercial awareness and has a good understanding and experience of a busy workshop operating environment.
5. A PSV/Bus licence preferred & knowledge of related compliance.
Early/Late Shift Pattern:
6am - 2pm
2pm - 10pm
Monday to Friday
