Head of Finance - Luxury Interiors
The Role:
A prestigious company in the luxury interiors industry is seeking an experienced Head of Finance to lead and enhance its financial operations. This senior role is ideal for a strategic financial leader who excels in financial planning, reporting, and risk management. Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and execute financial strategies that align with the company's objectives and growth plans.
2. Oversee the preparation and timely submission of accurate financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
3. Monitor and analyse financial performance, offering insights and actionable recommendations to improve efficiency and profitability.
4. Ensure strict adherence to financial regulations and standards, maintaining compliance across all activities.
5. Manage cash flow, investments, and risk management practices.
6. Lead the coordination of financial audits, liaising effectively with external auditors.
7. Oversee accounting, tax, and treasury functions to ensure financial accuracy and efficiency.
8. Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, including banks, investors, and regulatory bodies.
9. Lead, mentor, and support the finance team to strengthen their skillsets and performance.
10. Work cross-departmentally to support broader business goals and contribute to key decision-making.
The Ideal Candidate:
1. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is advantageous.
2. Highly numerate and skilled at explaining financial concepts to non-financial colleagues.
3. Persistent problem-solver with a hands-on approach.
4. Commands respect, credibility, and integrity, holding others accountable when necessary.
5. Skilled at translating operational needs into finance-related tasks for the team.
6. Extensive experience in senior financial leadership roles, preferably within a strategic context.
7. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
8. Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with proven experience influencing stakeholders.
9. Proficient in financial software and tools, with advanced Excel skills required.
10. Skilled in strategic planning, performance management, and budgeting processes.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
2. ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification preferred.
3. In-depth knowledge of UK financial regulations, reporting standards (FRS 102, IFRS), and risk management best practices.
