At Cedar Oak, our Senior Care Workers play a vital role in supporting service users with physical, emotional, or cognitive impairments. Senior Care Workers also provide leadership, supervision, and hands-on care, ensuring a high standard of service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and support care staff in delivering quality care services.
Provide insight into organising staff rotas, allocating tasks, and monitoring performance.
Mentor and train new care workers, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
Conduct assessments and reviews to ensure care plans are implemented effectively.
Support service users with personal care, including washing, dressing, toileting, and grooming.
Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, medication management, and mobility support.
Promote social inclusion by encouraging service users to participate in activities like cooking, playing games, taking walks, or community outings.
Administer and monitor medications following prescribed protocols.
Ensure service users' environments are safe, hygienic, and comfortable.
Liaise with other healthcare professionals to coordinate treatments or interventions.
Maintain accurate records of care provided, including medication logs and incident reports.
Act as a key point of contact between service users, families, healthcare providers, and Cedar Oak management.
Requirements:
Proven experience in a care environment, ideally with supervisory responsibilities.
Desirable Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (or willingness to achieve this qualification).
Comprehensive knowledge of safeguarding, health and safety, and care regulations.
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
Full UK Driving License and experience driving in the UK.
Training and Development:
Senior Care Workers must complete all mandatory training and demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development.
Sponsorship:
Currently, we can only sponsor workers who already have the right to work in the UK and are willing to either switch visa categories or employers.
