We have made a significant investment in our logistics operations with state-of-the-art automated order fulfilment solutions.
Due to the continued development of our logistics capability, we are looking for a highly experienced Logistics Manager.
This is an ideal position for someone who is looking to work in a strategic role, driving improvements in our logistics operation but still taking an active role in the day-to-day management of the processes and the people. You will work closely with the Operations Director who is responsible for our Manufacturing, Engineering, Transport and Supply Chain teams. We ship in excess of 25,000 lines per week and we are looking to grow and diversify our operation within the next 12-24 months.
Key Responsibilities
As our new Logistics Manager you will:
• lead a department of 40-50 people, consisting of two supervisors, logistics analysts and logistics operatives.
• Review and enhance our logistics operation, driving efficiency and improving performance to deliver high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Use data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and produce regular reports for the Senior Management Team
• Work alongside other department heads to address quality and customer issues, ensuring that complaints are dealt with efficiently.
• Foster a positive and collaborative team culture in line with Cooksongold's values, ensuring that every team member has the skills and motivation to meet our customers’ expectations.
About you
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record as a Logistics Manager, Deputy Manager or Senior Logistics Supervisor. You will demonstrate excellent communication and problem-solving skills and have experience of data analytics and report writing. You will be familiar with the principles of automation within a logistics environment.
