A premium FMCG company is seeking to recruit a new hire for the role of Finance Manager, a key position within the company as the No. 2 in finance. In essence, you will support financial decision-making by collecting, analyzing, investigating, and reporting financial data, whilst also providing insightful recommendations. You will possess very strong analytical, technical, communication, and organizational skills.
In more detail, your remit will be:
1. Managing the financial accounting, monitoring, and reporting systems including the production of monthly Management Accounts pack and financial commentary, VAT returns, and Intrastat.
2. Monitoring and interpreting cash flows and forecasting.
3. Analyzing change and providing marketplace and trend analysis.
4. Managing budgets and reporting variances.
5. Reconciling the bank accounts.
6. Liaising with auditors and preparation for annual audit.
7. Managing the payroll function for the company and ensuring full compliance with all payroll-related matters.
8. Managing AP and AR staff (currently 3 in total) ensuring that payments are made to suppliers and received from customers according to payment terms.
9. Credit management including setting up accounts, credit risk assessment, and escalation of aged debt matters.
10. Managing and improving system processes within the business.
You must be a qualified accountant with a professional accounting qualification ACA/ACCA/CIMA and have experience in a broad range of financial and management accounting including analysis. Your knowledge of MS Office products, especially Excel (pivot tables, formulas, V-lookups), will be important, and knowledge of SAP is beneficial. The ability to prioritize workloads and work well under pressure will be expected, as well as having some exposure to leading a team. Excellent communication skills and the ability to business partner across the company with a positive, proactive manner are also essential.
