Regional Sales Manager – UK & Ireland

Overview:
The Regional Sales Manager will oversee sales in the UK and Ireland, managing a team and driving growth in the aerospace logistics sector. This role focuses on new business development, team leadership, and strategic planning, with future potential to expand into Nordic and northern territories.
Key Responsibilities:

Sales Leadership:
* Lead and manage a team of six, including inside sales and sales managers.
* Ensure team performance aligns with regional (25%), team (25%), and individual (50%) goals.
* Motivate and guide the team to achieve sales targets and profitability.

New Business Development:
* Identify and convert profitable sales opportunities in the UK and Ireland aerospace sector. Onboard major airline clients.
*
Client Engagement:
* Build and maintain relationships with key aerospace customers, including airlines and MROs.
* Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and client meetings.
*
Strategic Growth:
* Contribute to the development of customer solutions and new sales channels.
* Identify trends and competitor activities to inform strategy.

Sales Process Management:
* Collaborate with internal teams to streamline quoting, pricing, and onboarding processes.
* Forecast sales revenue and manage the sales pipeline.
*
Team Development:
* Mentor and motivate team members, conducting regular appraisals to monitor progress.
*
Contract and Pricing Management:
* Oversee all RFPs/RFQs and ensure pricing proposals
* Work with teams to collect pricing data and guide on margin expectations.
* Enforce fair and competitive pricing across regions.

Operational Collaboration:
* Work closely with operational and financial managers to meet regional goals. Prepare for and participate in monthly executive calls to present progress.

Travel Requirements:
* Regular travel within the UK and Ireland, with flexibility to support other territories as needed.
Ideal Candidate:
* Minimum of 5 years’ aerospace experience, with a background in logistics businesses serving aerospace clients.
* Proven track record in people and territory management.
* Strong "hunter" sales profile with exceptional motivational skills.
