Job Description:
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will support young learners across Key stages, helping to create a stimulating and nurturing environment that promotes children’s development and learning. This role offers flexibility and the opportunity to work across various schools in Cornwall, providing a diverse and enriching experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging activities that promote children's learning and development.
Support individual or small groups of children, adapting activities to meet their specific needs and abilities.
Help create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive learning environment that supports the social, emotional, and cognitive development of young children.
Prepare and set up learning resources and classroom displays that enhance the learning experience.
Observe, monitor, and record children’s progress and development, providing feedback to the teacher and parents.
Implement the EYFS framework and assist in the delivery of the Early Learning Goals.
Support children with additional needs, including helping to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging independence and confidence.
Requirements:
Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or an equivalent Early Years qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce).
Experience working with young children in an Early Years setting.
Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development principles.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members.
Creativity, patience, and a genuine passion for working with young children.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Desirable:
Experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN) in an Education setting.
Knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies.
Additional training or certifications related to education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
