As Deputy Clinical Coding Manager, you will lead, develop, and manage our Clinical Coding Services to meet high standards of data quality and timeliness. The post holder will be responsible for the leadership, operational management, development and delivery of a high quality clinical coding services, strategic coding transformation and associated projects throughout the Organisation.
The post holder will ensure the timely and accurate delivery of the clinical coding function within the Trust to support commissioning and data submission processes by ensuring the Trust’s coding activity deadlines are routinely met and that staff within the department achieve the highest possible standards.
To play a proactive role in the Trust’s move to the electronic patient record, ensuring that the impact on clinical coding is positive, enhancing accuracy and timeliness.
The post holder will manage the development and implementation of the on-going programme of clinical coding audits and training throughout the Trust.
The post holder will assist the Clinical Coding Manager in the design and delivery of the department’s engagement and improvement programme, raising awareness with both clinical and non-clinical teams.
The post holder will raise awareness throughout the Trust of the importance of a high standard of data quality and accuracy of clinically coded data, National Tariff Payments System and HRG’s.
The post holder will take lead responsibility for the day to day management of the clinical coding team.
