My client is a well-established and privately owned manufacturing company that has been growing substantially over recent years. Their aggressive and exciting growth plan over the next 3-4 years has led to the requirement for an experienced Procurement Manager to oversee the department, make improvements, and implement new procedures. This role comes with significant opportunities for progression as the company grows. Directorship is not out of the question for the right person.

Responsibilities
* Implement procurement procedures and processes
* Develop relationships with new and existing suppliers
* Source new suppliers overseas and locally
* Analyse costs and make savings where possible
* Negotiate prices and contracts with suppliers
* Monitor supplier performance
* Monitor the procurement department and ensure team members are trained and performing sufficiently
* Work closely with the finance director in implementing company-wide strategies
About You
* Proficient strategic procurement experience
* Previous procurement/supply chain management experience
* Experience working in a manufacturing environment
* Can demonstrate a history of negotiation and cost savings
* CIPS Level 5 qualified and willing to continue with funding
* In-depth knowledge of strategic procurement processes
