Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in both residential and supported living settings. Your focus will be on enhancing the life quality for those you support, ensuring that they are supported to achieve their wants, wishes and aspirations.
Responsibilities
Support with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
Provide support to partake in varied social activities.
After training, administer medication as prescribed.
Maintain accurate records of supported delivered and report any changes in health or behaviour to relevant staff members.
Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed, ensuring their safe transportation.
Collaborate with other professionals to develop and implement individualised support plans and risk assessments.
Take responsibility for own personal development and complete the required training to meet the needs of the role.
Skills
No previous experience is needed as we will induct and train you.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with supported people and their families.
A valid driving licence is preferred for supporting people in the community when required.
Enthusiastic and committed to providing quality support.
Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with supported people and colleagues.
