Overview
A highly successful Electrical Contractor is looking for an Electrical Contracts Manager to join their project delivery team based out of their Head Office.
They work mainly within the industrial and commercial sectors in and around London and the South East with project values up to around £2m.
The ideal candidate will come from an electrical background, either from the tools or from an educational background. You will need excellent technical knowledge and strong financial management experience.
Roles and Responsibilities
1. Oversight of the company's multiple ongoing development projects.
2. Develop a close relationship with the site teams and maintain a detailed knowledge of your allocated sites by ensuring a visible site presence.
3. Conduct on-site meetings with clients, site managers, and engineers.
4. Material procurement.
5. Contract management and dispute resolution.
6. Assistance with the procurement of sub-contractors.
7. Attend relevant project design, pre-start, specification, and other relevant meetings as required.
8. Support the site teams in running a successful development project.
Person Specification
1. Highly organized.
2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
3. Attention to detail and quality.
4. Previous experience in a similar role within the commercial sector.
5. Previous on-site experience.
6. A strong knowledge and appreciation of UK building and electrical regulations.
7. Experience managing both internal teams and external clients in a commercial environment.
8. Strong knowledge and experience of relevant IT systems and experience with MS Office – strong Excel skills essential as this is our preferred method of analysis and budget tracking.
