About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Management Accountant in Scotland, preferably in the Glasgow area, to join our EMEA Finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for managing the monthly management accounts process across all EMEA legal entities. This includes preparing management reports, ensuring balance sheet accuracy, and liaising with auditors for both annual and ad hoc requests. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced finance environment where you will play a key role in process improvements, financial reporting, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
* Monthly Management Accounts: Ownership of the full management accounts process for EMEA legal entities.
* Financial Reporting: Preparation and analysis of management reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
* Balance Sheet Certification: Certification and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis.
* Audit Support: Work closely with internal and external auditors to fulfil audit requests and deadlines.
* Process Improvement: Identify and implement efficiencies within financial processes and reporting.
* Systems Management: Utilize financial systems for reporting and process automation, ensuring best practices.
Key Requirements
* Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
* Strong knowledge of financial reporting, management accounting, and audit processes.
* Advanced Excel skills (including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and complex formulas).
* Experience working with financial systems and ERP platforms.
* SQL knowledge is beneficial and highly preferred.
* Strong attention to detail with a process improvement mindset.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
* Right to work in the UK as we do not offer visas - The team is in Glasgow.
* Lives within commuting distance to Glasgow.
