Job Title: Credit Controller (Temporary)
Location: Chepstow (Hybrid)
Responsible to: Finance Manager
Responsible for: All aspects of Credit Control
Based in Chepstow, working as part of a TXO Group Finance Team, the Credit Controller is responsible for the delivery of all aspects of Credit Control within their assigned group of companies, working within the TXO Group Credit Control Policy and adhering to all TXO Group policies and guidelines.
Credit Control
* Primary responsibility for all aspects of credit control for their assigned companies within the Group, focused on the main UK entity.
* Provide cover in Chepstow for subsidiary credit controller during holiday or periods of absence
* Review the company credit control procedures, developing and implement enhancements to ensure the company is up to date with the latest credit management procedures and good practice.
* Proactively manage the outstanding sales balances by contacting customers prior to becoming overdue to confirm payment dates, creating strong customer relationships and resolve potential issues to ensure a steady payment stream from customers
* Liaise with colleagues in the Sales department (and across the business where necessary) to ensure debts are managed and credit control policies and procedures are adhered to.
* Maintain accurate customer records, monitoring credit limits and payment terms assigned to customers.
* Perform credit checks for new and potential customers in a timely manner to manage our credit risk and support the sales process.
* Where required, initiate escalatory proceedings to ensure outstanding debts are settled in a timely manner.
* Preparation of periodic cash receipts forecasts.
* Provision of ad-hoc reporting’s and financial information as requested by management
* Ensure the smooth transit of Intercompany and External sales orders for their designated companies, including allocation of stock, assisting Sales Administrators with tax compliance/INCO terms at Sales Order point
* Managing Credit Control team
* Monthly credit meetings, ensuring weekly catch ups and monthly team meetings are effective.
* Overseeing and leading the team in systematic credit control processes.
* Account escalations and legal processing
* Coaching and developing team
Monthly Management Accounts
* Assist in the preparation of monthly management information for inclusion in the monthly MI Pack, including Intercompany and Bank reconciliations.
Annual Audit
* Assist in the preparation of information for the Annual Audit

* Provide cover for colleagues within the Finance Department during periods of absence and increased workload
