About the Vendor Manager role
You will be covering maternity cover and serve as the primary point of contact for data vendors, managing communication to ensure that vendor relationships are maintained and productive. You will workwith vendors to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data quality, delivery delays, and discrepancies. Collaborate with the data team to ensure that all data feeds from external vendors are functioning correctly and efficiently and monitor data feed performance, identify areas for improvement, and work with vendors or internal teams to address any gaps.
What you would be responsible for:
* Document processes for monitoring and troubleshooting any issues that arise, ensuring that any interruptions are swiftly addressed and resolved.
* Coordinate with internal teams to identify and prioritise data requirements and ensure vendor feeds meet business needs.
* Act as a liaison between internal teams and vendors to communicate any internal updates, requirements, or changes affecting data sourcing.
* Ensure that all payment schedules and vendor invoices are tracked, up to date, and processed in a timely manner.
* Review and verify invoices from vendors, ensuring that they align with contract terms and the services provided.
* Maintain accurate records of all data-related payments, contracts, and vendor communications.
* Handle various ad-hoc administrative tasks related to data sourcing, including preparing reports, updating internal documentation, and supporting special projects.
* Provide regular updates to senior management regarding the status of data supply, vendor performance, and any ongoing issues.
What we would like you to demonstrate:
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage vendor relationships effectively
* Detail-oriented with strong organisational and time-management skills.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and work independently with minimal supervision.
