Requirements A relevant degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent qualification, with a strong commitment to achieving chartered status. Membership in CIBSE, IMECHE, or another recognized industry institution is preferred. Excellent technical knowledge in Mechanical Engineering, with a comprehensive understanding of Building Services Engineering and interdisciplinary design throughout all phases of the design process. In-depth familiarity with modern technical delivery methods, especially in relation to Building Information Modelling (BIM), along with proficiency in designing and reviewing documentation created by others within these frameworks. Proven experience working in a multi-disciplinary environment, demonstrating the ability to lead, motivate, and supervise both junior and senior engineers effectively. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a track record of negotiating positive outcomes, planning resources, and managing teams efficiently. Previous consultancy experience, with a keen appreciation for the significance of complementary specialisms such as acoustics, fire engineering, and computer modelling, and an ability to analyse and interpret their implications for your projects.
