As we continue to develop our education provision, we now have an opportunity for an Assistant Head Teacher to join our Senior Leadership Team (SLT). Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, the Assistant Head Teacher will aim to secure the success and improvement of the New Forest School, whilst ensuring a high-quality education for all its students.

They will play a strong supporting role in propelling the school’s curriculum, enabling more of our pupils to thrive and exceed through each stage of their educational journey.

Essential Qualifications and Training
* Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent e.g. QTLS
* Degree or equivalent e.g. Cert Ed.
Desirable
* Successful leadership and management experience in a school.
* Teaching experience (Minimum of 5 years, of which 2 years must be in SEN setting).
* Experience of quality assuring and developing teaching & learning.
* Designated Safeguarding Lead trained with relevant experience of managing safeguarding concerns.
* Involvement in school self-evaluation and development planning.
Driving licence is preferable.
