Your Role
This role is responsible for the day to day operational functionality and performance of the inspection operations from off-load of trailers, to presentation for inspection, and reload on to trailers.Shift rotation 4 days on 4 days off.
Your Responsibilities
* Loading and unloading lorries including manual handling, using roller cages and other MHE
* Ensuring the correct handling of all client products at all stages within the facility whilst remaining compliant with
manual handling procedures
* Undertaking manual and/or electronic reporting requirements as requested
* Take instruction from our on-site partners to support the inspection process
* Updating the PINC Yard Management System following training
* Carry out operational tasks to achieve departmental and site objectives
* Maintain the inspection environment following training
* COSHH Awareness following training
* Assist drivers locating bays, support drivers in direction to bays and offices
* Champion a health and safety culture
Your Skills and Experiences
* Logistics experience in a large fast moving environment
* Strong warehouse system experience
* A strong knowledge of Health & Safety at work
* Experience of working to agreed targets
* Intermediate PC Skills: Excel, Word, Outlook
* Understanding of warehouse practices e.g. picking, loading
* Ability to deliver to tight deadlines in an organised and informed manner
* Ability to achieve a high level of accuracy
* Flexible approach to working hours, including covering holidays and absence when required
The ideal candidate will have:
* Good communication skills and a high level of accountability by leading an example to team members
* Motivate team members to excel and place the customer at the centre of all decision making
* High attention to detail
