Working alongside this multidisciplinary team, you would provide education and guidance to ensure that a range of Allied Health Professional and Nursing students are supported to be fit for practice.
The post available is a part-time Band 6 Clinical Practice Facilitator which can be fulfilled by either a Registered Allied Health Professional (HCPC), or a Registered Nurse (NMC). The hours available are 34 hours per week, with flexible working options available. It is a permanent post at £ 35,392- £ 42,618 p.a. (pro rata for part-time).
The role does require travel across Herefordshire and Worcestershire, and does involve remote working across multiple sites. There is also opportunity to work from home for part of the time.

Main duties of the job
Day to day the aspects of the role will change dependent on the needs of students and staff across the Trust. Some days will focus on travelling to different sites to offer face to face support to students and staff seeking guidance around clinical skills and knowledge. This can include managing difficult conversations and challenging poor practice, and sometimes it can include supporting additional learning needs or signposting students to health and wellbeing services and supporting staff with student assessments. Some days will be used to catch up on email enquiries around placement capacity, practice educator/assessor/supervisor training, or general queries around student placements.
Often daily work will consist of agreeing fair share allocation practice placements for students, meeting with teams who are new to supporting students, and liaising with a range of university partners. There will be a lot of close working with staff across all practice areas and Universities around ensuring quality of placement in line with the HCPC and the NMC. There will be opportunity for work around auditing, research, and further service development.
There will be regular team meetings with the Clinical Practice Facilitators team for joint working and shared processes, as well as regular supervision provided.

Key responsibilities will focus on providing support and leadership to practice educators/ supervisors/assessors and support the management of unpredictable and emotional situations relating to difficult assessment decisions in the achievement of clinical competence, at formative and summative level.
Practice Facilitators will act as a role model to promote excellence in practice through education, leadership, advice and support. Practice Facilitators work collaboratively with the Head of Education and Clinical Development, Professional Lead for Allied Health Professions, and Deputy Director of Nursing within the organisation to identify student placement capacity and evaluate the potential impact this may have on clinical learning opportunities to support and enhance student learning.
Liaison with stakeholders such as partnership between Universities and the organisation will also be regularly required.
