ASA are looking for a Communications Officer, to work alongside our public sector client supporting key strategic projects in enhancing digital learning and teaching experiences.
About the Role
As part of the VLE Excellence Programme and Short Courses Platform, you'll:
1. Craft high-quality content aligned with project communication strategies.
2. Manage and update SharePoint and website content.
3. Plan milestones, schedule content, and analyze digital engagement data.
4. Coordinate user group meetings, engagement activities, and administrative tasks.
5. Produce impactful written communications and multimedia content.
What You'll Bring
Essential Skills:
1. Strong content creation and digital communication expertise.
2. Proficiency in Office 365, SharePoint, and web editing tools.
3. Experience with social media platforms like Twitter and blogs.
4. Knowledge of data protection and accessibility standards.
5. Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple priorities.
Desirable Skills:
1. Familiarity with higher education environments.
2. Proficiency in hybrid meeting tools like Microsoft Teams.
3. Understanding of current trends in learning technologies.
Additional Information:
· Location: Hybrid (Edinburgh-based, minimum of 2 days in-office)
· Hours: 35 hours/week (generally 9 am-5 pm, with flexible arrangements considered)
· Duration: 6 months (possibility of extension)
