Position: Employment Solicitor – Associate/Senior Associate

Overview
A Top 100 Law firm is currently looking to recruit into their Employment Law team. The team handles a comprehensive range of employment law matters, including daily advice for employers, support on corporate and commercial transactions, tailored training, and representation in employment tribunal litigation.
They go beyond traditional legal advice by collaborating with clients to understand how employment decisions can impact their broader business objectives. Additionally, they provide support to individuals on matters such as settlement agreements, discrimination, and harassment claims.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Department Head, the role offers a diverse caseload comprising both contentious and non-contentious employment matters. While the primary focus is on representing respondents, experience in acting for individuals will be an asset.
The successful candidate will provide expert advice to employers and employees on a variety of issues, including unfair dismissal and discrimination claims, TUPE transfers, business restructuring and redundancies, settlement agreements, company policies and procedures, dismissals, and contractual matters. The role also involves conducting Employment Tribunal litigation and drafting comprehensive HR policies and procedures.
In addition to client-facing work, the position includes delivering seminars and webinars, authoring articles for marketing purposes, and actively contributing to the firm’s social media platforms to enhance the visibility of both the firm and the employment team.
Who
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 PQE and will play a key role in advancing the department's business plan. This includes contributing proactively through activities such as delivering seminars and training sessions, attending networking events, and fostering relationships with both new and existing clients. The firm are looking for an ambitious and forward-thinking individual whose attitude and work ethic are as critical as their professional experience. Strong advocacy skills, excellent organisational and time management abilities, and a proven track record in developing exceptional client relationships are essential for this role.
