Nursery Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Nursery Manager to lead a growing team at a well-established nursery in Hassocks. With exciting plans for expansion in the upcoming academic year, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong leadership skills and a commitment to delivering outstanding care and education for young children.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the nursery, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and nurturing environment for all children.
Lead, motivate, and support a team of staff, promoting a positive working culture.
Ensure the nursery meets all regulatory requirements, including those set by Ofsted, safeguarding policies, and health & safety guidelines.
Manage staffing levels and scheduling, ensuring adequate ratios and coverage.
Develop, implement, and monitor the educational curriculum in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
Build strong relationships with parents and guardians, providing regular updates on children’s progress.
Manage budgets and resources, including overseeing the purchasing of equipment and materials.
Play a key role in the nursery's expansion, contributing to the development and implementation of growth strategies.
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
A recognised Early Years qualification (Level 3 or above in Childcare or equivalent).
Proven experience in a managerial or leadership role within an Early Years setting.
Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and current childcare legislation.
Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
A proactive, solution-focused attitude with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
Driving is essential for this role
