About The Role Job Title: Senior Marketing Manager Hygiene Location: Caerphilly Reports To: Head of Marketing and Digital Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Marketing Manager to lead and oversee customer acquisition and lifecycle campaigns within a business-to-business (B2B) environment. This individual will play a critical strategic role in driving growth, supporting new business development, and enhancing customer retention. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing campaign strategy, leveraging marketing automation platforms (Pardot/Marketing Cloud), and utilising Salesforce to achieve measurable business impact. This role requires close cross-functional collaboration with Sales, IT, Customer Services, Finance, and Product teams to ensure marketing strategies align with commercial objectives and drive customer engagement. Additionally, this role involves oversight of public relations activities, event planning, and market positioning. As a senior leader, the Senior Marketing Manager will act as a strategic partner to internal stakeholders, ensuring marketing efforts align with business-wide goals and customer needs. The role also requires visibility across the business, including engagement with customers, sales teams, and senior leadership, to support growth and retention initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Campaign & Customer Acquisition Strategy Develop and implement strategic marketing plans to drive customer acquisition, retention, and brand growth. Own and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns, ensuring alignment with sales effectiveness and customer engagement goals. Lead customer lifecycle marketing initiatives, maximising retention, engagement, and cross-sell opportunities. Collaborate closely with Sales, IT, and Customer Services teams to integrate marketing strategies into the wider business framework. Ensure real-world impact by engaging with customers and gathering insights to inform marketing decisions. Oversee the development and execution of the phs Hygiene campaign calendar, ensuring a consistent and strategic approach. Marketing Technology & CRM Optimisation: Utilise Pardot/Marketing Cloud and Salesforce to plan, execute, and refine marketing campaigns. Oversee lead scoring, nurturing programs, and automation workflows to improve conversion rates. Ensure alignment between online and offline marketing initiatives to create a cohesive customer experience. Events, PR, and Brand Visibility: Collaborate with the Marketing and Events Manager to plan and execute high-impact events and exhibitions that deliver strong ROI. Support the planning and execution of public relations activities to enhance brand awareness and reputation. Manage relationships with creative design agencies while collaborating with the in-house design team on campaign assets. Market Insights & Stakeholder Engagement Identify and leverage market trends, customer insights, and competitive intelligence to shape strategic marketing decisions. Lead product launch campaigns, ensuring market penetration and commercial success. Work closely with Sales, Finance, IT, Product, and Customer Services teams to align marketing initiatives with business goals. Actively engage with customers, sales teams, and business leaders to ensure marketing initiatives are customer-centric and commercially viable. Team Leadership & Development Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence. Encourage innovation and efficiency, ensuring the team delivers results that contribute to business growth. Drive a data-led approach to marketing, ensuring continuous improvement and measurable outcomes. Measures of Success Lead Generation: Increase in qualified leads generated through digital and offline marketing campaigns, measured through Salesforce and Pardot/Marketing Cloud. Customer Acquisition & Retention: Growth in new customer acquisition and improved customer retention rates through targeted lifecycle campaigns. Campaign Performance: Demonstrable ROI from marketing campaigns, tracked through engagement metrics, conversion rates, and cost-per-acquisition analysis. Event & PR Impact: Measurable uplift in brand awareness, media coverage, and engagement through PR activities and event marketing. Marketing Automation Effectiveness: Improved marketing automation performance, including email open rates, click-through rates, and lead nurturing success. Team Performance & Development: Growth and development of the marketing team, ensuring high performance and professional growth. Stakeholder Satisfaction: Positive feedback from internal stakeholders on marketing initiatives, alignment with business goals, and overall impact. Key Skills/Experience/Qualifications Proven experience in a senior marketing role with a focus on customer acquisition and retention. Experience of working in a B2B environment is essential, and experience in a Hygiene Services industry is advantageous. Expertise in digital platforms such as marketing automation or Pardot/Marketing Cloud. Proficiency in Salesforce and leveraging CRM systems for marketing campaigns and reporting. Strong background in developing and executing campaign strategies across multiple channels. Management public relations activities to enhance brand reputation would be desirable. Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and optimise strategies accordingly. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field. 7 years of experience in marketing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
