Position description This Feature System Engineer position involves ownership of features from first concept through development and into production. Today is the age of electrification and automation of the automotive industry with new features proposed daily and we need people that are creative and motivated to deliver the features of tomorrow to our customers. Skills required Strong learning agility Ability to lead cross-functional teams Strong systems thinking and analytical skills Quality and attention to detail mindset Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to quickly understand and articulate complex issues Emotional resilience to negotiate cross-functional trade-offs In-depth knowledge of Quality Documents (DFMEA, LFMA, and boundary diagrams) Education/Experience required 3 years of experience with vehicle electrical systems and/or features. Functional knowledge of electrical module design, networking, wiring, power distribution, chassis systems, lighting systems, etc. Electrical Systems Engineering experience, including an understanding of systems engineering V model Electrical D&R experience Automotive electrical testing experience Knowledge of software development processes. Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related degree Additional Information Hybrid – Minimum one day on-site per week, based in Basildon 37.5 hours per week
