Job title:Communications Systems Engineer
Location:Scotstoun, Filton, Broad Oak, Portsmouth, New Malden, Frimley, Dorchester. Can be home based with occasional travel to Scotstoun. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.
Salary:Up to £ 55,000 (depending on skills and experience)
What you’ll be doing:
* POC for Combat Systems Comms
* Support and provide technical overview to the EM & Principal
* Plan & execute system specific tasks in line with programme dates
* Mentor and assist in the development of designated Engineer to Comms (inclusive of attached Early Careers)
* Articulated communication capability when liaising across the BAE Programme Disciplines and other Stakeholders
* Technical input to Engineer Change Board (ECB) with Change Tasks completion thereafter and preparation for modelling
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
* Ideally degree Qualified in a STEM related subject or commensurate experience
* Professional Registration (IET, ENCOSSE, etc) or willing to work towards
* Working experience with Combat Systems or Naval Communication/Networks Systems
Desirable:
* Experience of Integrated Communications System in a Naval environment.
* Experience of Physical integration during the design lifecycle in a Naval environment. Technical dissection and understanding of VFI & TDP’s
