Audio Visual Technician The AV Event Technician will provide audio-visual, technical and event delivery support to all clients, bringing together the various elements to deliver top class live events. The specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Deliver all audio-visual requirements as requested by clients Prepare event materials Work as part of the Event Services Department, working alongside colleagues to meet the needs and demands of external and internal customers Working pattern and hours The vacancy is full time, 37 hours (net) per week, working flexibly Monday to Friday between the hours of 0800-2000, to suit business needs. This includes an unpaid lunch break of one hour per day. 1 year fixed term contract. There is a possibility that the role may be made permanent but this is not guaranteed. Other responsibilities as a Audio Visual Technician: Prepare, operate and support presentation, event and associated control systems, offering support and assistance to clients both virtually and in person, ensuring all video conferencing requirements for the client are met in full Support video conference calls including liaising with remote offices in respect to the setup, testing and running of video conference calls Ensure smooth running of audio-visual systems in terms of performance, ease of use and efficiency resolving any equipment issues using problem solving skills Ensure all audio-visual and non-event tech equipment such as heating and lighting is kept in working order, with all faults reported Prepare all event stationery including but not limited to printing name plates and badges for all events Lead on the set up, servicing and break down of the conference room, other event spaces and meeting rooms ensuring that all furniture, equipment and other requirements are met Ensure that all equipment is set up and stored neatly, to a high standard, and stock levels are monitored Attend pre and post-event meetings; and any other relevant appointments Deliver responsibilities in a confident and professional manner, ensuring good communication skills Ensure standard operating procedures (SOPs) are kept up to date and communicated with colleagues Assist with event related admin as required Essential skills as a Audio Visual Technician AV skills A good understanding of Microsoft Office 365, or the willingness to learn, and attend training courses to improve your ability to use such systems Customer service experience Desirable skills as a Audio Visual Technician The ability to plan, organise and prioritise workloads to deadlines with a positive can-do approach towards your role Ability to work with colleagues in all departments in a supportive and customer focused way Ability to move equipment as needed A good understanding of Health and Safety requirements To be familiar with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, to help with administrative tasks Benefits Learning and development tailored to your role An environment with flexible working options A culture encouraging inclusion and diversity A Civil Service pension Company social events Free car parking at Wiston House, the home of Wilton Park 25 days annual leave rising to a maximum of 30 days leave after 5 years of service.
