Job Purpose
* To provide a front-line maintenance service to support biodiesel production at achieve maximum availability.
* To be equally comfortable with both working alone and part of a multi discipline team.
* To identify and deliver Planned Maintenance schedules from CMMS, reliability reports and other sources.
* To identify and deliver reactive maintenance as required
* Need to provide out-of-hours support during planned shutdown periods and breakage outages, either by shift cover or callout, as appropriate at the time.
Key Responsibilities
* Strip, inspect, service and repair Pumps, Centrifuges.
* Proficiency in the reading and understanding of mechanical schematic drawings
* Ability to take the information from schematic drawings and assemble equipment
* Bring own-craft expertise to bear, but also foster a team-culture within the maintenance squad.
* Act as focal point and direct all maintenance activities via work directed by Maintenance Manager.
* Willingness to learn new skills
* Create RAMs for jobs and approve apprentice RAMs.
* Strong teamwork and communication skills to work on multiple/concurrent projects
* Works independently and responsible without close supervision.
* High level of job interest and desire to produce a quality product
* To perform an enabling role as regards timing, permit preparation, and site liaison to ensure both the safety of providers and value-for-money
* Become familiar with all Biofuels technical information systems. To assist with keeping systems up-to-date.
* Be prepared to “champion” areas of own skill and interest for the benefit of the company.
* Use of focal Maintenance Management System, with clear and accurate entries for work close out, to include auditing of others.
* Be willing to take other direction, i.e. project involvement.
