Job summary The Early Intervention Physical Health Lead will be responsible for supporting the service to develop and implement a physical health strategy that is inclusive of all patients and meets the requirement for the National Audit of Psychosis. The post holder will be required to work closely with the EI MDT to ensure national standards for physical health continue to be incorporated into the team. The post holder will play a key role in supporting complex health discussions, promoting health and wellbeing, physical heath processes and escalation of clinical risk. Main duties of the job - To be responsible for the assessment and coordination of physical health assessments and any follow up actions. - To build on the current relationship with GPs - To contribute towards raising the awareness of good physical health alongside positive mental health/wellbeing amongst the client group. - To plan and implement evidence-based care/interventions to service users who are experiencing a first episode of psychosis. - To work as part of the Multi-Disciplinary team providing professional advice and support to colleagues both within and outside of the service. - To act up as role of team manager in their absence (as appropriate). - To act as a role model and resource for junior staff, students and less experienced staff. - To advocate for the service users who are under the care of Solihull Early Intervention. - To work closely with the client group and their families to identify and work towards resolving any issues that may be detrimental to them. - To promote recovery and hope within the client group that we work with.
