Your responsibilities
Our Renewables team is responsible for developing Uniper's solar PV and wind onshore businesses, primarily in our core European markets. The Renewables business is one of the key drivers of our joint strategic ambitions. Our goal is to achieve annual growth of more than 1 GW by 2025, laying the foundation for the joint 1.5-2 GW "asset ownership" target announced by Uniper.
As we grow our new renewables business we have an exciting opportunity in our Energy Offtake team for a University Student who is seeking an undergraduate placement in Industry starting in September 2024 for 48-52 weeks. This opportunity would suit students studying business, economics, finance and accounting or marketing.
The Energy Offtake team is responsible for securing routes to market for the renewable energy we produce and selling the power under a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA). Energy Offtake is a new team and so there is plenty of opportunity to work on topics and pick up activities that you find interesting or find a passion for. A flexible, hands-on approach will be much appreciated. The successful candidate will undertake the typical tasks as outlined below:
1. Support the team in assessing the European renewables market looking at specific countries like UK, Germany, France, etc. Reviewing market prices and checking financial assessments of key markets.
2. Undertake competitor analysis and help identify potential corporate offtakers along with organising and preparing offtake meetings.
3. Support and prepare marketing material and presentations in preparation for conference events being attended later in the year.
4. Help develop and create monthly reporting dashboards and design, implement and document key processes.
5. Gain invaluable experience by attending stakeholder meetings and perhaps even support the senior managers in their negotiations with offtakers.
6. Please note that we will provide training and support on achieving the above tasks.
