As a Deputy Team Manager in the CMHT, you will support the Team Manager in leading and supervising a team of social workers, mental health professionals, and support staff. You will play a key role in service delivery, performance management, and ensuring the provision of high-quality, person-centred care.
The team works with adults with severe and enduring mental health conditions, promoting recovery, independence, and safeguarding.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the day-to-day operational running of the team
Provide supervision and professional support to social work staff
Oversee complex cases and contribute to care planning and risk management
Ensure compliance with Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act, and Mental Health Act
Contribute to safeguarding investigations and strategic planning
Liaise with NHS mental health professionals and other multi-agency partners
Maintain quality standards and support audit and performance reportingRequirements:
Registered with Social Work England
Recognised Social Work qualification
Enhanced DBS
Substantial experience in adult mental health and team leadership
Strong working knowledge of relevant legislation and best practice frameworksInterested?
