Are you a Rheumatology Specialist Nurse that is now ready to proceed to the next level within your speciality? We are seeking experienced nurses within this speciality who are compassionate people with experience of working in a hospital environment to join our integrated trust. We are seeking someone who is dynamic and enthusiastic to deliver excellent patient centred care to our individual patients across Somerset. As a fully integrated trust, we can offer a collaborative approach to your career with us, meaning if you so choose, there would be opportunities to rotate across all sites and directorates to ensure your skills and knowledge are as broad as they possibly can be. You are the greatest investment we can make.
We value our RGNs highly, so development and training within this role will be offered and prioritised. There is an expectation that hours are worked flexibly over a rota basis which does include nights and weekends. We have full time and part time hours available. You will require good communication skills, a team work approach and be able to provide a high standard of nursing care with the support of your team. Informal chats always welcome - contact us today to discuss the position in more detail or organise for you to come and visit!
Main duties of the job
To provide and maintain a high standard of evidence based patient centred care. To demonstrate good interpersonal skills and to develop practical skills required within the speciality whilst reflecting the philosophy of care. To work autonomously and collaboratively for all patients. To deliver consistent patient care whilst using digital systems in place within the department. This enables a multi disciplinary approach to patient centred care delivery, building on the philosophy of greater involvement of patients and their relatives and carers by using the Trust's patient and public involvement strategy. Experienced Band 6 Rheumatology Nurses will provide effective clinical and managerial leadership of the department. In the absence of the senior members of the team, staff will continue to deliver consistent patient centred nursing care.
