Nippon Seiki (Europe) B.V (NSEU) has been established in 2002 and is a fully owned subsidiary of Nippon Seiki Co. Ltd., based in Nagaoka, Japan. Our European headquarters is located in Hoofddorp – The Netherlands. We focus on the European automotive market with our engineering sites located close to the industry in Munich (Germany), Redditch (United Kingdom), and a software development office in Gdansk (Poland).
Your Profile:
* Degree in the field of automotive, material engineering, chemistry, or mechanical engineering or a comparable education would be an advantage.
* Experience in the automotive industry working in IMDS (at least one year) is an additional plus.
* Understanding of EU and UK Chemical Substance regulations, such as REACH and ELV.
* Understanding of global automotive OEM’s substance regulations.
* Analytical skills.
* Able to work independently.
* Experience with AS400/LN preferred.
* Familiarity with Quality Management Systems/ISO9001/IATF16949 is an advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and control IMDS data of suppliers regarding the materials used in all supplied parts.
* Maintain MDSs and the IMDS database.
* Facilitate data exchange with customers and suppliers.
* Conduct substance searches in the IMDS system with regards to material compliance.
* Reflect material changes in production in the IMDS.
* Manage SCIP via IMDS and keep SCIP submissions up to date.
* Realize legally required measures of material use in production for our manufacturing plants in Poland and the UK.
* Review older IMDS submissions for possible updates and increase accuracy.
* Perform calculations for REACH reporting.
