Business Development Manager £30k basic OTE 10k uncapped bonus 25 days holiday Car allowance Our client is a food service provider based in Fleetwood and they have a fantastic opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join their growing sales team in a field based role covering North Wales, Cheshire and Liverpool. Hours of work: 7am-3:30pm Monday - Friday (occasional Saturday 8am-12pm - paid at overtime and worked on a rota in a team of 8) Duties and responsibilities Identify and develop significant profitable business in a variety of sectors within the food service industry i.e. contract caterers, independent restaurants, gastro pubs, bars, schools to Michelin star restaurants and 5 star hotels in North West England.with new customers in order to increase sales in line with business targets Develop new and existing account profitability by skilfully utilising sales data and reports Produce comprehensive and insightful profit studies in able to formulate customer contracts outlining specific terms of agreement Identify, design and develop a sales proposition that is aligned to the customer’s needs and objectives Maintain a live prospect database of accounts that have the potential to significantly impact the business growth Mentor and support sales account managers within the team Provide accurate and timely information and feedback to management and other business areas to ensure we can provide a continued level of service to our customers and utilise opportunities for growth Reporting on sales performance against budget and reporting on variances putting action plans in place if necessary Facilitate and influence communication and activity at a high level with customers, suppliers and the team to ensure delivery of profit margins and maximise marketing and telesales call activity Ensure that good management practice and all company processes are followed in order to ensure the health and safety of our employees and customers. Skills and qualifications Relevant sales /business qualifications or significant experience in business development Proven track record in developing profitable key accounts Proven track record in winning significant new business Demonstration of developing customer contracts and implementing terms of agreement Great communication and relationship building skills Account management to a high level of professionalism and effectiveness Astute commercial awareness with the ability to balance customer needs and profitability Customer driven with a collaborative and hands-on approach Exceptional selling and influencing/negotiation/presentation skills Thorough knowledge and understanding of the food industry Key decision maker with regards to winning new business and retention of existing accounts Actively contributes to wider business strategies Current driving licence and ability to work across the region as required for customer base
