Role Overview
We are currently looking for a Maintenance Technician to join a Global Life Science and Speciality Chemicals manufacturing business. The site is undergoing significant investment for the future, including both manufacturing equipment and infrastructure. The role will be based in Staffordshire, working days Monday to Friday with an on call rota out of hours.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Your duties as the Maintenance Technician will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
1. As the Maintenance Technician, you will form a part of a small multi-skilled team, performing routine and preventative maintenance procedures. You will help troubleshoot and quickly repair any mechanical or electrical problems with the manufacturing processes and supporting equipment and systems.
2. Ensure that all activities are completed in a timely manner including all associated paperwork complying with engineering and production schedules. Commitment to maintaining high safety, health and environmental standards.
3. Day-to-day tasks can vary greatly based priorities and requires working closely with the maintenance, operations, quality, and engineering teams.
4. The role will also involve interaction with specialised external contractors with the overall aim to allow production to operate safely and efficiently.
Role Requirements
To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Maintenance Technician we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
1. You will hold a recognised mechanical or electrical engineering qualification to a minimum of Level 3, such as a Diploma or equivalent.
2. You will ideally have experience working within a process or chemical manufacturing environment.
3.A working knowledge of steam generation and distribution systems, pressure systems and the associated safety controls will be beneficial. As well as, knowledge of instrumentation for pressure, temperature and flow.
