Community Phlebotomist (15 hours FTC until May 2025)
An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Brighton & Hove Community Phlebotomy Service providing community-based care across the city for a 15-hour Fixed Term Contract until 1st May 2025.
The new post holder will join our established group of phlebotomists within our team base at Hove Polyclinic, where they will work across both our domiciliary caseload and may also provide phlebotomy services as an outpatient function.
Main Duties of the Job
The Brighton and Hove Community Phlebotomy Service is looking for experienced phlebotomists to provide our service to our communities within patients' own homes, with our dynamic team working alongside our community nursing colleagues.
Suitable candidates will ideally be competent in phlebotomy, although training and development can be supported for individuals looking to enhance their clinical skills.

Due to community working, a UK driving license and access to a vehicle for business purposes is essential.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Good standard of education.
* NVQ level III in Health Care or equivalent experience.
Skills
* At least 12 months experience of working in a caring environment, either in health, social, or voluntary services.
* Experience of working with adults and/or experience of working in community or home care services.
* Basic understanding of statutory health and social services.
* Basic numeracy and ability to write simple reports.
* Ability to demonstrate a flexible approach, both in relation to team working and patient care.
* Willingness to undertake job-related training and multi-disciplinary competencies.

£24,071 to £25,674 a year per annum/pro rata.
