We are seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Buyer to join our team and take a leading role in our purchasing operations. In this critical position, you will drive value across the company, owning all purchasing-related initiatives and contributing to our continuous growth.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Sending out RFQs.
2. Placing orders with approved suppliers.
3. Developing and maintaining positive relationships with suppliers to ensure best service and price.
4. Managing Purchase Orders.
5. Support with Invoice and Delivery Note queries.
6. Maintaining accurate records of Purchases and Inventory on ERP System.
7. Liaising with Project Managers, Engineers, and Suppliers to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods and services.
8. Resolving any issues or discrepancies related to purchasing and supply chain.
9. Negotiates pricing and lead-times with Suppliers.
10. Develop and maintain positive relationships with key suppliers.
11. Objectively measures and communicates Supplier performance to support Supply Chain continuous improvement initiatives.
12. Collaboration between Stores and Production functions.
13. Identify opportunities for purchasing process improvement and cost reduction.
14. Stay up to date on industry developments and best practices.
15. Work in alignment with our culture and values.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
1. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in purchasing and must have worked in a similar role and have demonstrable relevant experience.
2. Proficient in ERP systems.
3. Attention to detail.
4. A proactive and flexible approach to work.
5. Excellent analytical, problem solving/decision making skills; ability to make timely, effective, fact-based decisions. Includes a strong working knowledge of MS Office.
6. Knowledge of supplier performance management practices, including supplier scorecards and performance metrics.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to perform and produce results in multifunctional teams in a dynamic work environment.
8. Proven ability to develop collaborative relationships and influence up, down, and across organisational lines.
