Nottinghamshire County Council adult social care MASH (multi-agency safeguarding hub) is seeking a Social Worker.
This is a desk-based role which does not include visits. It is predominantly home-based but you would ideally be in the office once per week.
Pay rate is £34.91 umbrella.
Responsibilities:
* Complete first line of enquiries into safeguarding concerns, should it be suspected an adult has experienced abuse or neglect within Nottinghamshire (in line with and establishing safeguarding thresholds).
* Progress cases to full Section 42 Enquiries (completed by locality teams)/ or close as proportionate.
* Be part of a hybrid approach to office working (currently office attendance being once/twice per week).
* Complete end to end Safeguarding enquiries where a face to face/ visit is not required.
* Cause others to investigate matters relating to safeguarding, where thresholds are met and proportionate to do so.
* Work in a fast-paced environment completing between 3 – 5 first line of enquiries per day.
* Be part of the continual service development within the MASH.
* Multiagency partnership working to include working closely with MASH Police & MASH Health.
* Ensure work is completing in line with Safeguarding principles of the Care Act and Making Safeguarding Personal.
Requirements:
* Qualified Social Worker
* Social Work England registered
* Must have demonstrable knowledge of adult safeguarding, thresholds, risk assessment and decision-making
* Must be able to work well in a fast-paced environment
* Must have good understanding of legislation and guidance relevant to the role (e.g., Care Act Safeguarding Principles, Making Safeguarding Personal & Mental Capacity Act).
