About the role Ashgate Hospice is currently recruiting for a Clinical & Environmental Assistant to support and assist the IPU staff in delivering a high standard of care, in a welcoming and comforting environment. Hours: Full-time 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday 9am-5pm The main responsibilities include: Maintaining good housekeeping of treatment and storage areas by replenishing and organising stock as and when required whilst also working with housekeeping staff to ensure a high quality of cleanliness Liaise with various departments and other members of staff and/or volunteers to ensure the expected standards of cleanliness of the ward is maintained. Contribute to the promotion of a safe working environment, reducing hospice acquired infection and complying with hospice operational policies and procedures. Maintain asset register, prepare equipment/appliances for servicing whilst also completing the required documentation and also reporting faulty equipment/appliances. About you: Outstanding communication and organisational skills are essential for this post. You will be required to work autonomously and as part of a multi-disciplinary team and be committed to making a positive impact on the lives of patients, families and colleagues alike. You will need to demonstrate a calm and approachable manner, a caring and sensitive approach with a commitment to the hospice values, vision and strategy. You should demonstrate personal integrity and have the ability to motivate others. Skills and experience required.
