The Technical Service Officer at Kent County Council plays a vital role in providing technical support and services to ensure the smooth operation of various infrastructure and systems across the county. Key responsibilities include, troubleshooting, maintaining and enhancing technical systems, oversee the routine maintenance and repair of building systems and ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations and environmental laws. You will be inquisitive in nature, highly organized, proactive and solution oriented. You can work independently, but also with your contribution, become a key player as part of the team. You will be flexible to meet requirements and be able to prioritize workloads. It is essential you have both excellent verbal and written communication, good administrative skills, and be proficient in the use of computer systems. To be considered for the position you will have: Experience in a related field, such as facilities management, construction, or maintenance Technical knowledge of building systems and maintenance processes An ability to quickly assess situations and provide effective solutions for facility related issues Excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to adapt the communication style to suit different audiences.
