NHS Grampian Relief Porter/Domestic Assistant
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a relief porter/domestic assistant to join our team covering Inverurie, Huntly, Keith, Turriff, Peterhead, Fraserburgh, and Buckie.
Location: Aberdeenshire North
Band: 2
Hours: 27.13 hours per week, working between 0800-1330 Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend shifts depending on operational demands.
Responsibilities include:
1. Transferring patients safely between hospital areas.
2. Ensuring the safe movement of medical equipment and gases.
3. Transporting clinical waste and dangerous materials.
4. Moving stores across the site.
5. Cleaning clinical and non-clinical areas according to National Cleaning Standards.
6. Supporting winter maintenance from December to March, including preparing pavements and car parks for staff, visitors, and patients.
Requirements:
* Ability to perform all aspects of the role safely.
* Good communication skills, both oral and written.
* Full driving licence and confidence to drive in all weather conditions, as driving across the region is required. A pool car will be provided.
* Successful candidates will undergo a PVG check.
* Full training will be provided.
